Lighthouse for the Blind is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization headquartered in St. Louis, MO. Our mission is to provide employment opportunities and services to individuals who are legally blind.
In 2015, the Lighthouse acquired the assets of Tear Mender to further grow their mission of providing employment for individuals who are blind. The Tear Mender product line is filled, packaged and shipped by employees who are visually impaired.

Proceeds from the sale of our products help children who are blind "see the future" by participating in Community Outreach Programs that provide services, support, and instruction to children who are visually impaired.
Each year, our See the Future Programs provides visually impaired and blind children tuition scholarships to SCIVIS, Space Camp for Interested Visually Impaired Students.
- The SCIVIS program uses space to excite and educate students in the fields of math, science and technology.
- Teamwork, self-confidence and communication skills are taught through state-of-the-art simulations, missions, rocket building, robotics and conducting experiments on the International Space Station.
- Students get to explore new horizons, both in space and in their own capabilities.
